Senior Process Engineer (@one Alliance)IntroductionBinnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the @one Alliance, a collaborative team of industry-leading companies working together to deliver Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.The @one Alliance is a powerhouse of eight companies, including Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO, working together to drive innovation and deliver sustainable water and water recycling solutions across the East of England.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Process Engineer, you will take on a leadership role within the Place-Based Thinking team, guiding and supporting teams across a portfolio of non-infrastructure water and water recycling projects. Your responsibilities will include:Leading and reviewing process design deliverables across a range of projects.Checking P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), calculations, and 3D models for accuracy, quality, safety, and compliance.Providing engineering technical direction to process engineers across your region.Driving low-carbon, sustainable design thinking into all aspects of process development.Supporting the development and implementation of design alerts and lessons learned.Ensuring designs comply with internal and external regulations and standards.Collaborating closely with Principal Engineers, Portfolio Design Managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-focused, fit-for-purpose solutions.Mentoring and coaching junior engineers, fostering technical development across the team.Participating in site visits as needed to assess process performance and validate design.Presenting learnings and innovations across the Alliance to share knowledge and promote continuous improvement.Embracing and promoting digital design technologies and data-driven processes.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Degree in Engineering or a related discipline—or equivalent level of knowledge through experience.Significant experience in the water industry, ideally on large-scale water recycling capital projects.Proven track record of delivering robust process designs within multidisciplinary teams.Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop others.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and water-sector process standards.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.What We OfferIn return for your skills and experience, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Private Health InsuranceIncome ProtectionHigh Street VouchersLife AssuranceAnnual Leave PurchaseCycle to Work SchemeDiscounted Gym MembershipMental Health SupportElectric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice SchemeWe are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
