Jackson Hogg is proud to be recruiting for a pioneering new business in the circular economy sector for the appointment of a Senior Process Engineer to join their team due to growth. This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge recycling facility from the ground up, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for influencing design, supporting commissioning, and driving operational excellence once live.

Main Responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer:

As Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role across the full lifecycle of the facility:

• Build & Commissioning Phase: you'll be responsible for shape plant layout, process flows, and equipment selection. Additionally, you will develop and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and specifications. Lead commissioning activities, HAZOP reviews, and performance trials.
• Operational Phase: Optimise processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement. Lead projects that improve yield, efficiency, and quality while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Requirements of the Senior Process Engineer:

• A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or related).
• Professional membership (IChemE or equivalent).
• Strong background/previous in process engineering, ideally within plastics, polymers, or recycling.
• Hands-on experience of plant commissioning/start-up.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).
• Excellent technical problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills.
