Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the lead engineer on a feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design or EPC project
  • Technically responsible for an area of work and supervises preparation of specific deliverables
  • Undertaking specific tasks/area of work as defined by the lead/principal engineer
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from the original proposal/contract under supervision
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests
  • Support the preparation of the process TDR and execute allocated tasks within the project execution plan and TDR
  • Ensure compliance with Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project procedures, guides and standards
  • With the process group manager, identify development needs and ensure development goals are met in line with project commitments
  • Perform related duties as instructed by lead/principal engineer or group manager
  • Undertake specified tasks/areas of work depending on project size and complexity
  • Supervise and check the work of other engineers as delegated
  • Communicate technical/project issues potentially impacting the project to the lead engineer
  • Senior engineer is accountable to the lead/principal engineer or project engineer depending on project size and complexity
  • Personal training and development in consultation with Process Group Manager
  • Corporate reporting line to respective Process Group Manager

Knowledge, skills, education and experience

  • Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline
  • Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Exposure to consultancy, FEED/detailed design and EPC projects
  • Knowledge of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes
  • Knowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practice
