Job Description

Infinity is a growing independent engineering consultancy specialising in subsea and topsides Oil & Gas Engineering and New Energy related projects including Carbon Capture, Floating Wind and Hydrogen.

Infinity provides expertise to clients and projects in a range of regions which spans UKCS, Norwegian Sector, Americas, West Africa and Australia.

Summary of Role

The Senior Process Engineer will work, with limited supervision, as part of a team of Process experts working on Oil & Gas brownfield modifications, field development and operations projects. The Senior Process Engineer will have experience of subsea process projects and be able to carry out scopes to the highest standards in the following areas;

1. Creation of P&IDs, Process Flow schemes, Cause and Effects
2. Process Safeguarding
3. HAZOP Action and Closeout
4. SIL/LOPA Analysis
5. Process Calculations

This will be done in-line with the Infinity business processes and procedures as detailed in the ISO9001:2015 Management System.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide process engineering technical support to and implementing instructions from the lead engineer.
2. Deliver all discipline activities to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
3. Ensure that all assigned process engineering work is carried out in accordance with project priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
4. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards and procedures. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant codes and standards.

Client Engineers and Management

1. Administer and implement company, and where applicable, client / project policies and procedures.
2. Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans.
3. Ensure delivery of assigned aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
4. Ensure technical integrity of discipline deliverables produced on the project.
5. Plan and maintain the discipline progress on assigned CTRs.
6. Supervision of junior discipline personnel and allocation of work as required.
7. Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the scope of the discipline.
8. Checking and preparation of design / engineering documentation.
9. For assigned work ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered.
10. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineered technology.
11. Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, clients, etc. Take ownership of process technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Lead Engineer.

Other Duties

1. Assist in the development and enhancement of processes and systems for wider use in the discipline.
2. Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor.
3. Provide technical assistance to business development strategies, activities and initiatives.
4. Provide support for enquiries, proposals and execute assigned jobs across all business streams as required.

A Process or Chemical Engineering Degree (BEng/BSc minimum).
