Summary: We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Procurement & Proposals Engineer to lead strategic sourcing and tendering activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This pivotal role ensures alignment between technical specifications and commercial goals, driving value and mitigating risk across solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and associated infrastructure. As a key interface between engineering, project management, and commercial teams, you’ll help shape procurement strategies that support our mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement tailored procurement strategies for solar PV, BESS, HV systems, and BoP components. Tendering & Bid Management: Lead end-to-end tendering processes, including bid evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align specifications, delivery schedules, and contract terms with engineering, legal, and commercial teams. Supplier & Contract Management: Identify and qualify suppliers, manage strategic relationships, and oversee purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation: Monitor global supply chain trends and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure procurement activities meet internal standards and ESG goals. Mentorship & Process Improvement: Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of procurement experience in EPC or renewable energy sectors. Proven expertise in sourcing electrical, mechanical, and civil components for large-scale solar or energy storage projects. Strong knowledge of international procurement, logistics, and INCOTERMS. Familiarity with contract law and commercial risk management. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Passion for renewable energy and commitment to sustainability. Right to work in the UK without restrictions.
