Senior Product Development Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Development Engineer to lead innovative projects in the electrical and electronic manufacturing space. This role involves driving the design and enhancement of complex products, with a focus on ensuring top performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with manufacturing, sales, quality assurance, and toolroom teams to develop solutions that meet both technical and market needs.
You will oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept through testing, validation, and launch—while mentoring junior engineers and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced professional eager to make a measurable impact on product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the design and development of new electronic products and upgrades to existing ones.
Manage engineering changes and new product development processes.
Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to establish product specifications.
Conduct feasibility assessments and risk evaluations for new concepts.
Oversee product testing to meet regulatory and performance standards.
Guide and mentor junior engineering staff.
Present technical updates and documentation to stakeholders.
Manage design and manufacturing of crimping tools, both manual and automated.
Support ISO certification efforts and lead improvements in document control processes, including transitioning from paper to digital systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ product development experience in the electrical/electronic manufacturing industry, including familiarity with RJ45 connectors.
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Experience in prototyping, testing, and design validation.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as stamping, molding, plating, and assembly.
ERP and BOM management experience; CAE simulation skills are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
