Senior Product Engineer (React Native)
New Today
Overview
Senior Product Engineer (React Native) at Yonder. Join our growing frontend team building the Android and iOS applications in React Native and the web-app in Next.js.
What you’ll do
- Develop our iOS and Android mobile apps: deliver product and design vision in iOS and Android apps using React Native, add latest features, iterate existing ones, and ensure a great member experience.
- Build out our web-app in Next.js: contribute to the web app foundations and bring the latest technologies to deliver a web experience that complements the mobile apps.
- Collaborate in cross-functional squads: work closely with product and design teams to create magical moments across all frontend clients.
- Own the full development lifecycle: define stories, oversee testing, and manage deployments to get products into members’ hands quickly.
- Lead technical discussions: influence architecture, tool selection, and methodologies to push technical boundaries.
- Mentorship and team leadership: mentor the frontend team and grow technical capabilities across frontend technologies.
- Identify and drive improvements: proactively find inefficiencies or bottlenecks and own their implementation to deliver lasting value.
You’re a great fit if you
- You know React Native inside-out and have shipped high-grade apps; capable with technologies like Reanimated to enhance user moments.
- Skilled in Next.js with server-side rendering for robust web applications.
- You sweat the small stuff: attention to detail and strong collaboration with design to create exceptional experiences.
- Cross-platform expertise: deliver delightful experiences across iOS and Android with attention to platform nuances.
- Familiarity with design systems: understand when to apply or adapt a design system.
- Think like a product engineer: solve problems with a clear user-centric rationale.
- Thrive in ambiguity: set direction and navigate challenges in uncertain environments.
- Own quality through automated testing: write thorough automated tests and coordinate with the squad to ensure reliability.
You won’t be a great fit if
- Prefer working in large, structured teams over fast-moving, evolving environments.
- Focus solely on technical perfection without balancing customer impact and business needs.
- Struggle with ownership or decision-making when the path isn’t fully defined.
- Are uncomfortable working outside your core expertise (e.g., infrastructure, DevOps, or unfamiliar parts of the stack).
- Seek a strict 9–5 schedule; our pace can require flexibility beyond standard hours when shipping.
