Overview

A leading global audio-visual integrator is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join their dynamic team based in West London. This is a key role within the Production Team, offering the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of AV system builds and deployments, both on-site and at client locations.


As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll bring strong technical expertise in assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting AV racks, with a focus on quality, safety, and best practices. You will take the lead on rack production projects, guide junior team members, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-spec AV systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire AV racks in line with technical specifications and company guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to rack assembly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of rack inventory and build processes
  • Manage multiple rack build projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior technicians and engineers
  • Collaborate with production managers on developing and implementing process improvements
  • Train and mentor junior members of the team
  • Pre-prepare and manage cabling requirements for upcoming projects
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies in the workshop and on-site
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of work


Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in AV rack build and integration, including both hardware and cabling
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret AV system schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards and current AV technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong sense of organisation, cleanliness, and pride in the quality of work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
