We're currently seeking an experienced individual to join us on a staff basis in London as a Senior Project Engineer - DCO. This key role will work directly with the Project Development Manager to support the delivery of the DCO from scoping through pre-application, examination, to the SoS decision and beyond. It will also support the engineering team on environmental issues.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain oversight of agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the Development Consent Order (DCO), collaborating with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.
• Manage Environmental consultants to develop environmental documentation.
• Support the Land Strategy Team in the land acquisition process.
• Coordinate with internal and external environmental technical specialists to provide evidence, draft, and review DCO documents supporting the project.
• Ensure environmental compliance during the application process.
• Review engineering contractor/supplier documentation.
• Interface between engineering disciplines and DCO consultants.
• Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain and update risk registers, DCO consent registers, and other trackers.
• Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants.

Who we're seeking:

• 8-10+ years of experience, including on complex, large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with the DCO process for complex energy projects.
• Experience in developing EIA documentation.
• Knowledge of environmental aspects of the DCO process.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
