It will own the renewals work bank, manage it at portfolio level and drive a transition to a production management ethos. The SID is commercially aligned and jointly incentivised creating a “share in success” environment. Business partners within the alliance will generate profit through performance against the Final Determination. The four partners, VolkerFitzpatrick, Octavius, Atkins, and VolkerRail are aligned to the core asset disciplines with the fifth partner, Network Rail Minor Works, being multi- disciplinary for low complexity, low value works.Senior Project Engineer - Signalling (Southern Integrated Delivery project)We have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer - Signalling to join the Major Projects business working on the Southern Integrated Delivery project based in the South East of England.You will be responsible for:Responsible for the provision of technical advice and guidance on our full range of projectsEnsure engineering excellence is achieved throughout the life cycle of the project, from design and implementation through to completionManage your resources and team effectively to deliver against agreed plans and budgetsGained significant demonstrable experience working within Signalling EngineeringBe able to undertake the roles of Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and Contractor’s Engineering Manager (CEM) when requiredPossess a ‘can-do’ attitudeExcellent organisational abilityHave working knowledge of Railway interfaces and practicesAbout youA HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringIncorporated Engineer status or evidence of working towards itSMTH/SWTH testing competenciesRenewals experience would be beneficialAbility to be diverse in working both an office environment and out on siteAbility to drive a site forward from an installation and testing perspectiveAuthorising of MTPL test plansSITH test plans and A210 test plansTBS, WPP, and signalling assuranceProficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office applicationsFull UK clean driving licenceExcellent communication skillsIf your past experience doesn’t match perfectly with every requirement of the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
