If you are ready to take the next step in your career with an innovative and energetic team, then we want to hear from you.**THE OPPORTUNITY – SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER**We are seeking a candidate who can operate at an advanced level, managing modifications and CAPEX projects and contracts. Should have credible technical expertise of EPC and front-end project development to underpin commercial and project management decision making. The successful candidate will be required to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and international Tier-1 contractors. **Duration:** 6 -12 months contract position**Location:** Aberdeen based. Travel to Barrow Terminal and Offshore is required**PAYE Contract Rate:** To be confirmedSpirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. There are 3 core days that must be worked in the office. Tuesday and Wednesday are compulsory days and another day of the workers choosing. The other 2 days can be either worked at home or in the office. **AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…**Once in role, you will* Be a role model for IFW mindset and culture throughout the project team.* Select, develop and manage multi-disciplinary project teams of company and contractor personnel ensuring outputs and outcomes are delivered to meet the agreed business case.* In conjunction with the procurement team, agree contracts for the provision of services, monitoring compliance and managing variances.* Contribute to project framing through preparation of the requirements of projects and determines the best means of satisfying requirements.* Consolidate and document the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements) as part of project planning.* Manage stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.* Identify and manages project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects.* Be responsible for ensuring highly effective communication and reporting processes are in place and that all key contributors/parties involved in the project.* Prepare, gain approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify the initiation and/or continuation of projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks.* Prepare and maintain schedules for project activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.* Develop and agree budgets, controlling forecast and actual costs against them.* Implement Management of Change to change the scope of projects, updating configuration documents as required**ABOUT YOU**To be successful in this role you will have direct experience in:* Topside modifications and projects.* Major projects (preferred)* Working with both reimbursable and lump sum contractors.You should be able to:* Collaborate effectively, adapting behaviour and communication as needed to get the best from others.* Effectively promotes ideas and opinions and be able to influence others in a constructive way.
