Rising Talent Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a manufacturing company based in Dundee. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, and proficiency in CAD software. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with quality standards such as ISO9000 and industry-specific design requirements. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, develop detailed engineering documentation, support product development initiatives, and mentor less experienced engineers. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing design processes in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with quality standards such as ISO9000 and industry-specific design requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, develop detailed engineering documentation, support product development initiatives, and mentor less experienced engineers. Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and clear communication, and ensure adherence to manufacturing design processes in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or an applicable technical field
• Proficiency in 2D drafting (AutoCAD) and 3D solid modelling (Inventor)
• Experience with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS
• Knowledge of ISO9000:2000 standards related to engineering design systems
• Experience working within a project environment and liaising with customers on technical issues
• Ability to create, review, and approve engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and calculations
