Based at our Knowsley HQ with occasional travel across the UK.ResponsibilitiesLead the development of detailed, competitive proposals including scope, pricing, and termsReview customer RFQs and technical documentation to shape tailored solutionsCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams throughout the bid processCoordinate site visits, supplier meetings, and subcontractor engagementSupport Sales Engineers during client interactions and presentationsIdentify and mitigate technical and commercial risksManage supplier and subcontractor RFQs and proposal documentationAct as the main point of contact for proposal-related client queriesEnsure seamless handovers to the Project Delivery teamReport progress and insights to senior leadershipDrive continuous improvement across the proposals functionUphold HSEQ standards across all proposal activitiesProvide guidance and coaching to junior engineers within the teamWhat You'll Bring / Qualifications5+ years' experience in technical proposals or engineering salesStrong foundation in mechanical and/or electrical engineeringProven track record in leading complex bidsAbility to interpret technical specifications and negotiate commercial termsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsStrategic thinker with strong commercial awarenessProficiency in Microsoft OfficeDesirableDegree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringExperience in CHP, BESS, hydrogen, peaking plants, or data centre projectsPrevious mentoring or leadership experience within engineering teamsAbout Clarke EnergyClarke Energy is a global EPC contractor specialising in sustainable energy solutions.
