Join our client’s innovative automotive team as a Contract Senior Prototype & Test Planning Engineer.

This role is ideal for a proactive engineer with a passion for vehicle development, test planning, and fleet management within the automotive industry. You will support the creation and optimisation of test and development plans for prototype vehicles and rigs, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met within budget. Your expertise will drive the specification of prototype vehicles, oversee builds, and manage test plans, including camouflage strategies and fleet updates. You will bring strong organisational and communication skills, with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and test methodologies. Your ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and present technical data effectively will be vital.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and optimisation of test and development plans for prototype vehicles and rigs, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met within budget.
• Specify prototype vehicles, oversee builds, and manage test plans, including camouflage strategies and fleet updates.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and present technical data effectively.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a track record in vehicle testing or prototype builds, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Experience with programme planning tools like Primavera P6 is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; solid understanding of vehicle systems and test methodologies.
