Valve provides vital infrastructure to professionalise and accelerate the flexible workspace revolution.You will join a high-performing team of engineers and contribute to our marketplace and SaaS platform, working on sales and marketing automation tools to help workspace operators scale.What you’ll doOwn and execute feature testing from start to finish, balancing manual exploratory testing with automation coverage.Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Jest and Playwright.Participate in the full development lifecycle, including planning, architecture discussions, QA strategy, and platform scalability.Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define test approaches, acceptance criteria, and release confidence metrics.Generate ideas for test framework improvements, tooling, and process automation to elevate performance and efficiency.Help cultivate a culture of quality and reliability across the engineering team.Take ownership of the bug reports and the bug reporting process.About 50% of your time will be dedicated to manual feature testing and 50% to test automation.You’ll report directly to the VP of Engineering and work from our London HQ or remotely within the UK.Qualifications5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong balance of manual and automated testing.Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests with Jest and Playwright.Strong knowledge of modern web technologies and ecosystems (NodeJS, TypeScript, ReactJS/NextJS, GraphQL & PostgreSQL).Familiarity with data integrity testing and API testing is a plus.Experience working in a product-driven, cross-functional team in a tech-driven startup.Excellent communication skills and fluent English.A proactive, ownership-driven mindset—you don’t wait to be told what to do.Please note that we are looking for candidates with full working rights in the UK only.What we offerCompetitive salaryFlexible working — we are pragmatic, not dogmatic; work where you are most effective.Investment in your home working setup to support productivity and effectiveness.Proven management and leadership team that progresses your career.Regular off-sites and annual international company events.Commitment to Diversity and InclusionValve is committed to diversity and equal opportunities for all – applicants and employees alike.
