Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end quality of one or more product modules and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams from the early stages of requirement gathering to help define clear, testable requirements.
• Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements and user flows.
• Perform thorough manual testing including functional, regression, UI/UX, exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Proactively identify gaps in quality and drive discussions to close them early in the product cycle.
• Advocate for quality best practices including shift-left testing and early defect prevention.
• Define and track quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, defect leakage, etc.) and present insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects and ensure proper feedback loops to the development team.
• Continuously improve testing processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a quality-first mindset across teams.

Skills and Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications in a product development environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA methodologies.
• Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and drive clarity and testability.
• Experience in designing test cases, maintaining traceability to requirements, and managing test execution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and leadership.
• Experience with defect management and tools like Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
• Exposure to basic SQL, API testing (using tools like Postman), and understanding of client-server architecture is a plus.
• Experience in reporting and communicating quality metrics to stakeholders.
