The Team:

The Quality Engineering team works in partnership with other Technology Functions and the Business to ensure quality delivery of our products. The Impact:

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will make a key contribution in building solutions to test applications across Web/Windows/Mobile/API/Services/Mobile platforms and framing efficient data comparison methods. Your challenge will be reducing the time to market for products without compromising quality, by leveraging automation and innovation. You will use a wide range of technologies and have the opportunity to interact with different internal teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and develop automation/performance solutions that meet organization standards and build reliable, reusable and maintainable automated regression suites & test harnesses
Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications, execute test cases and analyze and report test results to the teams
Work in partnership with the development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria
Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements
Create test strategies, test estimation and all planning activities
Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Test Scenarios and Requirements Traceability Matrices
Acts as a test lead, planning the work of other testing staff and assigning tasks to meet project deadlines.
Use strong testing skills to provide guidance and assist project staff
Reviews and approves the work of project team members in the writing of scripts, expected results, test results and defect descriptions. Ensures best practices are followed and testing activities stay on schedule.
Focus on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs, Database testing requirements.
Participate in internal/cross team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile environment
Involved in requirements review and participate in architecture/design reviews with an emphasis on test automation/performance strategy and ensuring best practices
Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions
Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery
Should contribute in programming using Python/C#/Java or Tosca
Design and develop the automated tests using automation tools using Pyraft/Tosca framework for the application layers (UI/Service/Data layers)
Identify automatable test cases at different layers (UI, Services and Data layer tests). Ability to working with developers to build automation/performance friendly code is highly desirable
Refactoring and extending test automation/performance frameworks and suites as necessary
Contribute on CI, DevOps, rolling deployment/upgrade model
Test Data Management and mapping automated test code coverage
Build PTs for leveraging performance testing tools like LoadRunner.
Demonstrate ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong communication skills and ability to deliver clear, concise documentation and presentations

Qualifications

8+ years of software testing experience in all phases of testing including test planning, test execution and test closure for all layer API, DB and UI.
Excellent understanding of QA and testing methodologies, best practices
5+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester.
5+ years of experience creating/maintaining and executing automation tests utilizing tools such as Selenium required (Python essential).
5+ Years of experience in Agile processes (Scrum preferred)
3+ years of experience of working with REST service and understanding of SOA architecture. Knowledge of OData and SOAP preferred.
Experience creating/maintaining automation frameworks preferred.
Experience of DevOps pipeline in containerized environment using Azure DevOps/Jenkins preferred.
Expertise using complex SQL to query databases required.
Expertise with DB process, data validation, transformation logics, and data migration.
Knowledge of file storage in S3, data validation with clob, blob, and messaging system
Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git.
Experience with test data management techniques.
Knowledge of Function as a Service, Container as a service, Data Virtualization (Denodo) preferred.
Experience with change management and defect tracking tools.
Well versed with Defect Triage process and identification, tracking of corrective actions.
Zeal to be domain expert and learn new technologies.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and written communications.
High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust.
Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS/Azure and experience of testing micro-services, containers

Minimum and Preferred Education

Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred

Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills

8+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree or higher qualification
