React Engineer - Belfast (Hybrid 2 days a week) - up to £60,000 + Bonus

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major insurance platform at a pivotal stage in their digital transformation journey. You'll work within a collaborative engineering team, building performant, scalable, and intuitive React applications that will transform the way users interact with insurance services. The Role

  • Develop and maintain modern React applications as part of a wider digital transformation programme

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver user-centric solutions

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on performance and scalability

  • Contribute to design decisions and influence best practices across the frontend team

  • Support the adoption of modern engineering principles and CI/CD practices

  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and agile ceremonies

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of commercial experience with React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Strong understanding of modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Babel, ESLint, Jest, etc.)

  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with backend teams

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Zustand, etc.)

  • Awareness of accessibility and cross-browser compatibility best practices

  • Bonus: experience with cloud-hosted platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or design systems
