Senior Research Software Engineer - Regulatory and Quality Assurance We are looking to appoint a Senior Research Software Engineer with a specialism in Regulatory and Quality Assurance. This new post is funded through the University of Oxford Strategic Innovation Fund and aims to embed regulatory compliance and quality assurance into research software development across the University. This role is a full‑time, open‑ended position for an experienced Research Software Engineer passionate about improving the sustainability, reproducibility, and translational impact of academic research software. Qualifications:
Doctoral degree with a significant software development component (or equivalent experience in research or industry). Experience working in regulated or quality-critical domains. Familiarity with quality management practices, regulatory standards, and design control processes as applied to software.
Responsibilities:
Embed regulatory compliance and quality assurance into software development pipelines across the University. Develop and maintain quality documentation, processes, and reporting. Collaborate with research groups to implement design control and risk management for software. Provide guidance on regulatory standards and best practices for research software.
