The role will cover a number of areas including nuclear power generation, the naval nuclear programme and decommissioning.Responsibilities and Requirements:Safety Case Production (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS)Modification/ Design Change Submissions (LC/AC 22)DecommissioningFunctional Safety AssessmentRegulatory InterfaceALARP AssessmentSafety & Risk AssessmentDeterministic Safety AssessmentProbabilistic Safety AssessmentNuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and PolicyEngineering SubstantiationHAZOP and other identification studiesHAZANCriticalityNuclear FireCandidate Specification:Degree qualified in a Science, Technology or Engineering disciplineExperience in the nuclear or defence industries (although applicants from other high-hazard / regulated industries will be considered)Chartered Engineer or working towardsAbility to demonstrate successful delivery of nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projectsWilling to develop and mentor more junior members of staffCandidates must be eligible to apply for and obtain Security ClearanceWhat We Offer:We offer a range of benefits, including private medical insurance, health cash plan, and access to wellbeing support.
