Salary: £47,683+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:
\n
\n \n Maintaining and updating the D&C System Safety Assessment Report
\n
\n
\n Reviewing design changes and generating safety statements
\n
\n
\n Reviewing Preliminary Hazard Analysis
\n
\n
\n Reviewing Sub-System Hazard Analysis changes
\n
\n
\n Reviewing Software Requirements Hazard Analysis changes
\n
\n
\n Reviewing Software Design Hazard Analysis changes
\n
\n
\n Supporting in-service queries/incidents
\n
\n
\n Supporting safety process change workshops, and product safety forums
\n
\n
\n
Your skills and experiences:
\n
Essential:
\n
\n \n A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent with relevant experience gained on an aircraft engineering project or related field
\n
\n
\n Experience in system safety working practices; e.g. Hazard Analysis, Safety Cases, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis
\n
\n
\n A strong understanding and experience of the ‘V’ lifecycle, and system engineering principles
\n
\n
\n
Desirable:
\n
\n \n A working knowledge of IBM Statemate and Ada programming
\n
\n
\n Experience using Reliability Workbench software
\n
\n
\n Knowledge of Typhoon Avionics development processes and toolsets
\n
\n
\n

The Typhoon Displays and Controls (D&C) Safety Team:
\n
Within the D&C Safety team, the successful candidate will be well placed to directly influence the design, development and certification of major platform capability to Typhoon’s Core Nation and Export customers. You will support the development of software requirements, design and code hazard analysis within the department, along with drawing together evidence of implementation integrity as part of the safety assessment process. This will involve interaction with not just development teams within our own department but teams in the wider Avionics community.
