The Opportunity

IAG Loyalty is evolving into a Platform as a Service business. We are seeking a highly capable individual to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in implementing security controls within cloud and DevOps environments. They should be comfortable working in a cloud-native setting with rapid technological changes. The role involves leading security engineering initiatives, managing security tools, and overseeing a small team of security engineers.

This position is based in our London office. We offer a hybrid working model called The Blend, providing flexibility to work remotely or in-office at least two days a week, with potential for work at other locations based on role requirements.

What you’ll be doing

You will lead the Platform Security practice, driving initiatives to enhance our cloud platform's security and software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing secure-by-default patterns, maintaining security tools like CSPM and CNAPP, automating security tasks through scripting, collaborating with product teams, and participating in on-call incident response rotations.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with cloud engineering, security tooling, and cloud workload protection
• Skills in DevOps, AWS, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of security standards (OWASP, CIS, NIST) and Agile/DevOps practices
• Experience with CSPM, CNAPP, security incident response, and SIEM tools
• Ability to evaluate and recommend new security technologies
• Effective communication skills focused on developer experience
• Calm, evidence-based decision-making under pressure
• Entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, and innovative mindset
• Ability to share best practices across the organization
