With continued growth and a strong portfolio of clients, the company is now seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join its dedicated field team, supporting customers across the Berkshire region.
About the Role:
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the ongoing reliability and performance of sophisticated CCTV and integrated security systems. This is a highly autonomous field-based role, ideal for a self-motivated and technically confident professional with a strong background in electronic security and IP-based technologies.
You will provide maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support services on-site, working across a portfolio of prestigious and often complex client environments. You will also be expected to lead by example in technical excellence and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service visits across a range of CCTV and security systems.
* Diagnose and rectify technical faults on-site and remotely.
* Configure and test IP-based CCTV and integrated systems, including associated networking components.
* Provide end-user training and system support as required.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships.
* Complete accurate service documentation and reports in line with company procedures.
* Function as a technical escalation point for junior engineers and support staff.
* Work closely with the wider engineering and operations teams to share knowledge and improve service delivery.
* Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency support outside of regular working hours.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Recognised qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience servicing and supporting CCTV and integrated security systems.
* Strong knowledge of IP-based systems, digital video technologies, and networking principles.
* Ability to configure and manage security networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Experience with fault-finding and system diagnostics using both hardware and software tools.
* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and schematics.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and compliance.
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
