Job Description

This is a fixed-term 12-month contract role. We are seeking a knowledgeable M365 specialist to support our approach to document and records management. The Bank is migrating to M365 with SharePoint for document management and will use Microsoft Purview with a custom Azure solution to meet records management requirements. The successful candidates will support the organisation during and after deployment and participate in an on-call support rotation covering evenings and weekends.

We are growing our presence in Leeds with a modern, accessible office in the City Centre. Roles, including this one, are available in Leeds with hybrid collaboration with London-based colleagues, and opportunities to travel to the London office.

A day in the role

Typical day includes stand-up, advising 1st/2nd line on SharePoint Online and Teams tickets, attending weekly operations meetings, providing guidance on new features, handling support calls, and documenting fixes for knowledge sharing. The afternoon may involve investigating issues with sharing documents in Teams or raising cases with Microsoft to escalate issues.

Your responsibilities may adapt based on team needs and could include external vendor engagement, user training, continuous improvement initiatives, solution visibility through reporting and monitoring, and BAU support for SharePoint, Teams, and other M365 products.

Role Requirements

We are interested in candidates with demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • M365 suite including:
    • Hybrid AD identity management
    • Backups/restoration for Teams and SharePoint Online
    • Large-scale migrations to SharePoint Online
  • Microsoft Purview with:
    • Record Labels and Policies
    • Information Protection Sensitivity Labels
  • Experience in a third-line support team with strong problem-solving and SLA adherence
  • Documentation of solutions and knowledge base articles
  • Managing support cases with external vendors
  • Power Platform tools: Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Networking, Azure services (Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Data Gateway)
  • Key Vaults and Storage Accounts
  • App Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL

  • Windows Server administration and Group Policy in hybrid AD
  • On-call support experience

Note: If you do not meet all essential criteria, please still apply. The Bank has an ITIL Change Management process and critical live-system tasks may require occasional evenings/weekends. Payment for this is included in the base salary, with no additional remuneration.
