OverviewLHH is partnered with a leading groundworks and civil engineering business seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Site Engineer to join their team covering Central Scotland. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to support the successful delivery of civil engineering projects across multiple sites.ResponsibilitiesManage engineering workloads and prioritise resource allocation across multiple projects.Maintain regular communication with site engineers to ensure smooth coordination and timely updates to engineering allocation sheets and project tracking documents.Collaborate with construction directors and managers to discuss site progress and resolve technical challenges.Produce and maintain accurate 2D digital maps using AutoCAD, covering roads, drainage, foundations, piling platforms, and related site elements.Support engineers with technical site issues and review completed surveys before client submission.Attend client, pre-start, and internal departmental meetings to ensure alignment and effective cross-team communication.Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including RFIs, tender reviews, and technical reports such as Traffic Management Plans, Surface Water Management Plans, and Health & Safety site plans.Review site documentation, manage workload effectively, and contribute to as-built drawings and O&M manuals.Mentor and support trainee engineers and ensure quality checks are carried out across sites.Problem-solve at site level, review drainage take-offs, and identify opportunities for value engineering.QualificationsRelevant engineering qualification; degree-level education is desirable.Strong AutoCAD skills and excellent communication abilities.Proactive approach to engineering challenges.Experience of groundworks, understanding of residential housing developments, and broader civil engineering sectors including industrial and commercial projects.Salary & BenefitsA highly competitive salary is offered, along with clear opportunities for career advancement and continued professional development.How to applyInterested candidates are invited to submit an up-to-date CV for consideration.
