Senior Software Engineer - Age of Empires (Remote)

Forgotten Empires is a full-service game developer focused on Windows PC and Console games. Our team is 100+ talented individuals from around the globe and we are part of Keywords Studios since 2022. We are looking to add an experienced Software Engineer (Gameplay and AI) to work on Age of Empires. You will use C++ to help bring our games to realization and be part of a creative, supportive team with the opportunity to directly impact development of top-tier games.

Location: Must be local to Málaga, Spain or working remotely in UK/EU (EU time zones required).

Some of the cool stuff you\'ll be doing

• Working in a C++ codebase on a custom engine
• Maintain and develop features for the game and the tools that go with it
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on features
• Regularly debug, profile and optimize code

Requirements

• Must have prior experience working on RTS based games in a professional setting
• Proven senior level engineer experience in C++
• Recent experience in the video game industry with at least 1 shipped title
• Experience working in a team environment
• B2 English level – conversational and written
• Player/Development experience with Age of Empires games is a plus
• Participation in a technical test may be requested to prove skills
