We are growing our engineering team and are looking to welcome a Senior Software Engineer into the Enterprise + App team. You will join a cross-functional team with full ownership of our products and codebase, participating in every step of the development process, from ideation to maintenance. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage extensive knowledge and experience to spearhead the development of our products. You will contribute to the technical direction of projects from initial concept to final deployment and ongoing maintenance, help guide architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and mentor fellow engineers to promote a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

About the team: The Enterprise + App team is a brand-new team in our B2B space focusing on the needs of larger Enterprise customers. You will work with Product and Design to modernise and bring life to our existing B2B application and to cater to Enterprise-specific needs such as multi-domain and multi-language. You will collaborate with existing teams to ensure their feature-sets work at an Enterprise scale and bring your ideas to life for some of our biggest customers.

To ensure we deliver products that meet and exceed customer expectations, our teams collaborate closely with other departments, including product management, data science, data analytics, sales, and customer support. This close collaboration helps us understand customer needs and gather accurate requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understanding the existing technical landscape and planning, implementing and releasing new features that complement it
  • Participating in decision-making and design discussions during development
  • Troubleshooting existing software and resolving bugs
  • Sharing knowledge to inspire and challenge the organisation in problem solving
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues
  • Leading the technical direction of the team through adoption of best practices and tooling

Who you are:

  • Senior-level experience building full-stack applications while working with diverse teams
  • Experience developing REST APIs and distributed cloud services
  • Extensive proficiency in React and Node.js
  • Proficient AWS experience is a must
  • A customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset with a bias to action
  • A personable and collaborative attitude, willing to give and receive feedback constructively
  • Motivated to continuously improve yourself and others in a healthy way
