Senior Software Engineer, Front End (React/Angular)

Capital One is seeking Front End Software Engineers who are passionate about building in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative delivery environment. The role focuses on web features for Digital Wallets as part of the Emerging Payments External Integration team, with cross-functional work across Android and iOS stacks.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive experiences for millions of users.
• Utilize programming languages and tools including JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go; use Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases; work with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS tools/services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

This role is compensation aware; salary ranges by location are provided for candidates hired to work in specified locations. Salaries for other locations will reflect the range associated with that location. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
