Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)
Salary: £70,929 - £86,691 GBP
Location(s): Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, & Leeds
Hours: Full-time – 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our offices stated above.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy modular applications, APIs, and services using Python, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies.
- Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes environments.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, and Quality Engineers.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical governance.
- Mentor junior engineers and support community knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development
- Backend: Proficiency in Python or Node.js and RESTful APIs, C#, and SQL.
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and other modern frontend frameworks.
- DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Harness), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Automation: Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Pact, etc.).
