Job Description:

Venafi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team responsible for the Venafi Control Plane, our cloud platform. This role involves integrating Venafi with customers' cloud-native environments, including Kubernetes.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing features to enhance machine identity management in Kubernetes.
• Developing and maintaining backend services using Golang.
• Architecting scalable, distributed systems and microservices.
• Developing high-performance GraphQL APIs.
• Ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency of backend systems.
• Building integrations with other teams and systems.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Improving development processes and tools.
• Participating in a paid on-call rotation.

Required skills:

• Experience in building modern distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Golang, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and React.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies.
• Backend focus with understanding of frontend operations.
• Knowledge of x509 and PKI is desirable.
