About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong product and engineering mindset to join our Treasury Markets team. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring Wise offers fast, reliable, and cost-efficient financial products by securing liquidity and managing financial risks. You will be the driver of and lead technical discussions and decisions within the team.

Our Treasury Markets team is focused on enhancing our financial performance through automation, precise liquidity forecasting, and diversification of trading instruments. We work to ensure Wise can efficiently navigate financial markets and deliver value to our customers. The team is dedicated to implementing scalable solutions and integrating with platforms like FXAll, 360T, Bloomberg etc to ensure precision in execution and reporting.

What will you be working on?

You will spearhead integrations with platforms like Bloomberg to ensure precision in execution and reporting. As a senior engineer, you will also mentor less experienced team members, help establish best practices, and drive innovation in technical strategy and solutions.. • Extensive experience and proven track record in software engineering, ideally with a focus on financial systems or markets
• Exceptional product mindset, able to balance customer-centric and data-driven approaches
• Expertise in messaging systems such as Kafka
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is highly valued
• Experience with both relational and non-relational database design, including SQL query optimization
• Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
• Advocating for best practices in code quality, continuous delivery, and robust code reviews

• Starting salary: £85,000-£105,000 + RSU
