Senior Software Engineer II - Assets Supply role at Wise. Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money.

This is a greenfield opportunity to shape the architecture, strategy, and scale of our investment products from day one.

Responsibilities

Contribute to building an entirely new network for the world’s money and help shape the architecture, strategy, and scale of investment products from day one. Collaborate cross-team to coordinate complex projects and deliver incremental customer value.

Qualifications

• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience; prioritize work with customers in mind and use data to fix customer pain-points.
• Great communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as a supportive team player, with cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value.
• Ability to coordinate complex projects across different teams.
• Experience in developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment.
• Experience with common design and architectural patterns; focus on clean, performant, well-tested code.
• Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement; adherence to best coding practices, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases; query optimization and schema design is a plus.
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot; experience with a messaging system (e.g., Kafka) is a plus.
