Job Description

Monq is building AI agents that autonomously negotiate high-value enterprise contracts. We're tackling a $4.2 trillion market that's still run on spreadsheets, gut instinct, and back-and-forth emails. Our platform gives Fortune 500 procurement teams the speed and intelligence to close better deals, faster.

About the role

We're looking for a senior engineer to assist in developing the Monq platform. You'll work across the full stack: APIs, frontend, database, infrastructure. We move fast with AI- tooling — Cursor, Claude Code, and agentic workflows are part of how we build, not something we're "exploring." This is a foundational role where your code ships to enterprise customers weekly.

What you'll do

Build and evolve production APIs in NestJS, Fastify, and Prisma that power negotiation workflows Ship responsive, polished frontend experiences in React and TypeScript using Mantine Design and maintain our multi-tenant PostgreSQL data model with clean isolation and performant access patterns Own cloud infrastructure on AWS — Terraform, Docker, ECS, CI/CD with GitHub Actions Write tests that matter — unit, integration, and E2E with Playwright Contribute to engineering culture through code reviews, implementation specs, and architectural decisions

You might be a fit if

You have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in early-stage or high-growth environments You're strong in TypeScript and modern React — hooks, server state, component architecture You've built production Node.js APIs (NestJS, Express, or Fastify) and know your way around PostgreSQL and ORMs You're comfortable with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and owning the full deployment pipeline You use AI coding tools daily — Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar — and have opinions on how to get the most out of them You can take a loosely defined problem, define an architecture, and ship a production solution in days You care about simplicity — you'd rather delete code than add abstractions You enjoy working directly with customers to understand what they actually need

Experience building multi-tenant SaaS with enterprise auth (OAuth 2.0, Auth0, SSO) Hands-on experience with LLMs in production — prompt engineering, RAG, tool use, agent orchestration Familiarity with OpenAPI, code , and API-first workflows Understanding of procurement, contract management, or enterprise B2B domains
