Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) at Kainos. You will be responsible for developing high-quality solutions that delight customers and impact users worldwide. Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain modern software applications with a strong focus on AWS, Node.js (or JavaScript frameworks), TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
• Apply development best practices related to security, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to technical decisions and direction in a collaborative team environment, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story/requirement creation.
• Design and develop across multiple layers of an application.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Essential: strong experience with AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS CDK; ability to design, build, test, and maintain modern software applications.
• Desirable: good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; experience with CI/CD; debugging and troubleshooting live applications; knowledge sharing across the team; experience with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and SaaS/PaaS offerings.
