The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Simulation to join the Virtual Warfare Center Constructive Software Engineering team located in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) Software Engineering Environment Architect will lead a team of engineers in the architecture, design, development, maintenance and integration of a simulation toolset used in large scale virtual simulation experiments. The primary toolset is the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) with Boeing Extensions (ABX). The experiments run using a suite of simulations, components, tools and interface that constitute Operator in the Loop (OITL) real time simulation experiments at the VWC. This position requires knowledge of Distributive Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards.

This engineer will work with a long-standing customer to meet all contracted software requirements. This position requires the Software Lead to coordinate all software development activities, to include requirements gathering, analysis, planning and development of a technology roadmap as well as software architecture, development and testing. This lead will be responsible for developing innovative approaches to meeting multiple customers' needs and integrating industry partners' simulations into the large-scale virtual test environment. The selected candidate will build and maintain close relationships with multiple software development teams, operations analyst teams, and customer and industry partners in order to ensure timely completion of contractual commitments. The selected individual will mentor and coach early-career employees on software development, integration, testing and project leadership skills.
