Senior Software Engineer - Trading (Ref: -bd76)

This role is with Referment on behalf of a leading global hedge fund. The Equity Technology team builds and supports a world-class suite of tools for the flagship Fundamental Equities business, spanning the entire investment lifecycle from research and portfolio construction through to trading and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with portfolio managers, researchers, and technology teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment to translate business requirements into scalable software.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack cloud-native applications (C#, Python, Go, gRPC, React).
• Work with data management and analytics platforms such as Snowflake and ClickHouse.
• Balance feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market when delivering solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• 8+ years’ professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming (C# or Java essential).
• Experience with Python, AWS, MSSQL, Snowflake, ClickHouse.
• Exposure to finance (particularly equities) strongly preferred.
