A leading global technology business in the travel and lifestyle space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript, AWS, Node, React) to join a collaborative, cross-functional engineering squad. This role goes far beyond coding — you’ll help design, build, and optimise scalable, cloud-native systems that power digital products used by millions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript, AWS, GraphQL, Node.js, and React
• Take end-to-end ownership of the systems you create, from frontend to backend and infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver business-critical features
• Champion best practices including test-driven development and continuous integration/delivery
• Drive innovation by integrating AI and automation into platform solutions
• Maintain high standards of performance, scalability, security, and observability (using tools like DataDog)

What We’re Looking For

• Significant experience in software engineering, ideally in a senior capacity
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and AWS (EKS, Lambda, RDS)
• Strong background in building and maintaining robust APIs (REST and GraphQL)
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Pact
• Practical experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
