Senior Software Engineer - £90,000 to £100,000 - Hybrid (London 3 days per week) - Scala


Please note: This role does not provide sponsorship and requires candidates to work on-site at least three days per week.


La Fosse has partnered with a leading global sports data and insights organization that is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Scala experience. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact team, contributing directly to cutting-edge projects in the sports analytics space.


Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in Scala, leveraging Cats and Play to build robust, test-driven, functional applications
  • Hands-on knowledge of Typelevel frameworks, including Cats, Cats Effect, http4s, and fs2 Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments
  • Experience working within Fintech (desirable not essential)
  • Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Kanban methodology


Interview process:

1 - 30 minute HR Interview

2 - Technical assessment completed at home followed by a 1 hour technical interview

3 - 30 minute interview with CTO
