Ping Identity is looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to build web applications for the next generation Identity platform. This role requires a developer who can take ideas from concept to reality and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and data scientists in an internationally focused organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop / QA IAM (Identity & Access Management) related web applications and tooling in Vue and React JS
• Collaborate with UX and product management to refine features and ensure frictionless interfaces for customers
• Collaborate with backend teams to design features and API interfaces
• Design and review components for the shared component library to provide a clear, consistent interface while adhering to best practices
• Provide maintenance and security updates for a broad range of legacy UIs
• Participate in the development life cycle: design, coding, testing and production releases of the Ping Platform UI
• Implement, document and evangelize best practices and industry standards for internal and external developers
• Debug production issues across services and the Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC) integration with the Platform UI
• Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and evolving customer needs
• Demonstrate strong communication and set a good example for other engineers
• Identify shortcomings in current architecture and design, pushing for continuous improvement
• Enhance product quality with automation, end-to-end tests, pipelines, AI, and related tooling

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of JavaScript
• Web-application development experience
• Production experience with one of React.js, Angular, Vue.js or Svelte.js
• Secondary JavaScript framework or library
• Experience developing accessible, compliant UI components
• Experience with authentication, authorization and identity management
• Experience with CORS, SSL/TLS and other security communication protocols
• Experience with RESTful services
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Good time management skills

Nice To Have

• Experience with multiple application architectures (SPA, Flux, SSR, universal/isomorphic)
• Experience with Redux Toolkit (RTK) and RTK Query
• Experience building REST API applications in Node.js
• Experience working within a distributed team
• Proficient knowledge of Git and Git tooling
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with application security practices (OWASP Top 10)
• Experience with systems at large scale
• Docker, Kubernetes and VM experience
• Experience with web accessibility
