Overview
Senior Stormwater Engineer
to lead our New Hampshire and Northern New England focused Stormwater and Water Resources Team. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the New England area and will provide leadership and client development specifically in water resources engineering, stormwater treatment, watershed planning, stormwater related construction management, and permitting. Our Stormwater/Water Resources team creates innovative design solutions for public-sector clients utilizing nature-based solutions to improve infrastructure, address water quality issues and mitigate for climate impacts such as flooding. Projects may include: stormwater treatment, stormwater control retrofits; green infrastructure; stream and streambank restoration; wetland and buffer restoration; hydraulic and hydrologic modeling; drainage and stormwater studies; stormwater asset management and stormwater management permitting including MS4 compliance programs. Responsibilities
Perform, manage, and oversee engineering on stormwater/water resources planning and design projects Technical design lead on concurrent projects Recommend solutions to engineering issues Provide responsive client service through strong and prompt communication Lead/Mentor professionals Assist with business development and manage project pursuits Collaborate across internal disciplines and office locations Properly scope, schedule and budget assignments/projects Continue to broaden technical skills within the chosen discipline Lead team, client and public meetings Location is BETA’s Manchester, NH office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week. Required Experience/Skills: Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License 10+ years of related engineering experience in stormwater/water resources projects Demonstrated strong background in civil or environmental engineering particularly in stormwater treatment and drainage design Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with software programs Knowledge of and experience with the implementation of MS4 and other NPDES programs Skilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reports Strong leadership and organizational skills Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcGIS/Pro experience Must be able to collect field data and measurements Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow) Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Project Management experience Certified Environmental Stormwater Compliance Professional (CESCP) Certified Stormwater Manager (CSM) Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) About BETA
