Senior Structural Design Engineer

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire (Commutable from Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Bedford, and Huntingdon)

The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of equipment used in construction and large steel structures. Their equipment has been used in high-profile projects worldwide. Due to continued success, they are seeking a new team member.

The role includes managing complete project cycles and hands-on design of steel structures and heavy lifting equipment. There is a direct progression route to becoming a Principal Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have experience with structural steel projects, preferably steel, and understand FEA calculations. Chartered Engineer status is advantageous but not essential; support for achieving it is available.

Responsibilities:

Designing large steel structures and components used in construction (using AutoCAD)
Performing finite element analysis and calculations
Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm, office-based role with occasional international site visits
