Overview

Senior Structural Engineer required by a long-established, well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy near Coventry. The role offers the opportunity to join an expert team of engineers and designers and develop skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and clear progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a range of design projects from inception through to successful delivery.
• Prepare proposals and tenders, drawing upon technical and commercial experience.
• Design structures while ensuring health and safety standards, building regulations, and project specifications are adhered to.
• Lead the wider team in the development of detailed plans and models for a variety of functional structural projects.
• Apply skills across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
• Create detailed structural reports and drawings.
• Work with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects.

Essential Requirements / Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a consultancy setting within the Structural Engineering sector, across commercial and residential projects.
• A Degree (or Higher Degree) in Civil and Structural Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Demonstrable experience of leading projects within the industry.
• Knowledge of relevant section agreements (e.g., S106, S278) and their application.
• Experience liaising with stakeholders across public and private sectors with commercial awareness.
• Good working knowledge of software packages including AutoCAD and Tekla.
