Responsibilities

  • Join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a range of projects in Liverpool and wider sectors (commercial offices, education, healthcare, heritage, residential).
  • Design reinforced concrete, steel and/or timber components using Eurocodes; possess a good general knowledge of building construction.
  • Explain complex engineering principles clearly, verbally, in writing and through sketching.
  • Adopt a multi-disciplinary mindset and learn about wider aspects of building design.
  • Engage with projects that emphasize design, sustainability or re-use of existing assets.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven approach to your work and development, with a can-do attitude and commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications

  • A graduate in structural/civil engineering with the ability to design reinforced concrete, steel and/or timber using Eurocodes.
  • A good general knowledge of building construction.
  • An excellent communicator capable of explaining engineering principles in plain language, verbally and in writing.
  • A multi-disciplinary mindset and interest in the wider aspects of building design.
  • Experience on projects with high design content, sustainability, or re-use of assets is desirable.
  • Personal qualities: a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, passion for sustainability, and ownership of your own work and development.
