An established, design-led multidisciplinary Consultancy in Leicester has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This is the perfect role for an experienced engineer from a Consultancy background who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position within a progressive, supportive, and creative environment.
The Consultancy is well established across the Midlands and has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions across multiple sectors. Their diverse project portfolio includes residential developments, commercial offices, mixed-use schemes, education buildings, and bespoke architectural projects. Working closely with architects, developers, and contractors, the team is known for its design-led approach, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainable, buildable, and elegant structural solutions.
As Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead and mentor a small team of engineers and technicians, managing the design and delivery of building structures projects from concept to completion. You will take ownership of technical delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy, while maintaining the practice's reputation for design excellence. This is a client-facing role, offering the opportunity to develop long-term relationships, contribute to design strategy, and help drive the continued growth of the Consultancy's structural engineering offering.
To be considered for this role, you will hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and be Chartered or approaching Chartered status (ICE or IStructE). You must have at least ten years of UK industry experience within a Consultancy environment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality design solutions across a variety of building types. Experience with Tekla software is desirable. You will be an effective communicator and team leader, capable of managing projects and supporting junior staff in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. A full UK driving licence is essential.
