Our client, a leading consultancy in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Complex Systems / Safety Engineer to join their Digital Systems Assurance group. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile, technically demanding projects within a forward-thinking engineering and technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and assurance of safety-critical system architectures and designs. Provide strategic systems engineering direction and guidance on project delivery. Engage directly with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver technical strategies. Develop and review artefacts supporting safety and regulatory compliance (e.g. ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254). Translate client objectives into deliverable engineering solutions, integrating systems engineering, safety, and certification processes. Support business development through opportunity capture and proposal leadership. Work on cutting-edge projects, including the integration of autonomous air systems and national programmes.

Job Requirements:

Experience in safety-critical systems development, assurance, or certification within aerospace, defence, or other high-integrity domains. Knowledge of standards such as ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-326A, IEC 61508, and/or MOD standards (00-055, 00-056).
