Senior Requirements Engineer - Defence

Copello are looking for a talented Senior Requirements Engineer to support a high-profile defence programme. This role will see you at the centre of critical projects, ensuring requirements are effectively defined, managed, and delivered across complex systems.

Location - Hampshire, Surrey, Gloucester or Devon

Salary

Salary - Up to £62,000

Security / Eligibility

Security / Eligibility - To be considered for this role, you must be a sole British citizen and able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain safety requirements through DOORS
• Break down and control requirements following detailed safety analysis
• Provide accurate reports and updates to senior engineering leadership on the safety requirements process
• Collaborate with subsystem teams, suppliers, and safety specialists to resolve issues and maintain compliance
• Support the completion of gap analyses between formal requirements and assumptions placed on suppliers

Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
• Solid background in systems engineering across the V-model
• Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Previous involvement in defence or other highly regulated/safety-critical sectors
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
