Senior Telephony Engineer - 6 months - MUST BE BASED IN SCOTLAND

My client is seeking a Senior Telephony Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in a major programme of work. This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity where you will act as the Cisco Telephony specialist, providing both technical leadership and hands-on expertise throughout the design and implementation phases.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for the Cisco Telephony workstream within the wider programme Design, configure, and implement Cisco voice solutions, including CUBEs and CUCM Troubleshoot complex dial plans and voice routing issues Provide expertise in SIP protocol analysis and resolution of VoIP-related issues Support integration of Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams Maintain and support analogue technologies including gateways, MDF, Krone blocks, and associated wiring Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and project teams to ensure smooth telephony delivery

Experience

Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco CUBE Designing and managing complex dial plans Deep understanding of SIP and VoIP troubleshooting Implementing and supporting Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams Strong hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM
