Senior Test & Validation Engineer – Powertrain

GTS Group is seeking a Senior Powertrain Test and Validation Engineer to join our clients Powertrain team. You’ll plan and deliver testing on EV battery systems, motors, inverters, and driveline components, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Run and validate tests on HV batteries, packs, modules, and driveline systems.
• Prepare test procedures, set up instrumentation, and analyse data using tools such as Matlab, MoTeC, Vector, and Excel.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and external test facilities to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Produce clear test reports and identify improvements or issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Motorsport, or related Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience in automotive or motorsport test/validation.
• Knowledge of EV powertrains, high-voltage systems, CANbus, and test instrumentation.
• Strong problem-solving, organisation, and communication skills.
