Senior Valve Engineer

Our Principal Consultant Robin Thomas has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced valve engineer, to join an independent valve specialist that partners with the industrys leading manufacturers.
As a Senior Valve Engineer, youll be working with a team of highly trained and talented engineers and technicians, and will act as a leader both in the workshop and on site.
The succesful candidate must be willing to work both on and offshore, and must also be skilled in at least two other valve types in addition to their expertise in a primary valve.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Being the focal point within the Operations Team for primary valve type
Carrying out the majority of rebuilds and modifications to primary valve type work scopes
Providing expert opinions and solutions to primary valve type issues
Maintaining the equipment and area that you are designated
Carrying out the rebuild and modifications to valves that are issued to you by the Production Team Lead
Providing support to other Senior Valve Engineers when required.
Continued Learning from training and on the job experience with other Senior Engineers
Offer technical assistance to both Sales, Engineering, and Inspection when required
Oversee the rebuild of primary valves by other employees, providing assistance when
required to further increase others skill and knowledge base of your primary valve type
Provide guidance to the Coating department on how to fully protect valves to stop any
contaminants affecting your primary valve type
When required, manage site work scopes from the clients facility making sure that all records and work packs are continuously maintained, and client informed of progress
Report to management immediately with any issues concerning the scope of work on a clients site.
To lead any scopes where you are the senior engineer, ensuring that all paperwork, tasks and safety responsibilities are carried out in a professional manner by all members of the team
Education and Mentoring of any apprentice that has been assigned, showing them the correct procedures and working practices
Providing all Lower Tier staff with in-depth knowledge and insights into your primary valve type.
Conducting yourself in a positive manner in order to set examples for the Apprentices and Lower
Tier staff on how to conduct yourself in the working environment
Play an active role in moral awareness and provide personal support as and when required
Provide feedback to management on the progress of Apprentices and Lower Tier staff
