This organisation create mechanical and electrical design engineering solutions for sectors across the built environment including Education, Commercial, Hotel & Leisure and more. In recent years sustainability has been at the core of all their projects, building up a strong track record for environmentally friendly and cost-effective engineering solutions. This business are well-known for their supportive, trusting, social working environment. They are currently seeking an experienced electrical engineer ideally senior but will consider experience engineer or associate level.

Role

• Lead the electrical design for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Develop strong client relationships and represent the company at client meetings and presentations.
• Provide support in project management, including resource allocation, risk management, and project reporting.

Qualifications / Experience

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards Chartered status.
• Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, security, and data systems.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
• In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
• Proven experience in managing projects and client relationships.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
